A common impression of Chinese people in the eye of others, especially in the past, is that we are introverted and don’t like to express ourselves. This stereotype does exist and it’s very true even till now. Coming from a small town in China, marriage has its own proper timeline and schedule: boys should get married from 22 to 26, girls should get married from 20 to 24, boys should become a father at the age of 26 to 28 and if it’s a son it will be even better. Although situations have been changing in China during these years especially in big cities, however, most unopen gay men in China would still face a severe problem when becoming 25, "why don’t you find a girl and get married?".
